This temple is a very old temple which has its origin dating back to the pre historic times.

Unao is 17 km from Datia headquarters. Balaji Temple is a very old, medieval temple, believed to date back to pre-historic times. People from distant places flock to the Balaji Sun temple for pilgrimage. There is a tank in the vicinity, said to contain sacred water. In popular faith lepers who take a dip in the tank are known to be cured eternally of their terrible disease. This is also known as Balaji-Dham. Unao is connected by road only.
