Juniper Oil

Juniper is a small bush found in many parts of the world in many parts of world including central and southern Europe North America and Canada. This crisp essential oil is used in aromatherapy to help stimulate and strengthen the nerves and bolster the spirits in challenging situations, while helping to relieve urine retention. Juniper can be an aid in promoting menstruation and useful in bladder infections.

It acts as diuretic, diaphoretic, carminative, analgesic, stimulant, disinfectant astringent, bactericidal astringent and bactericidal. It affects plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, marrow, nerves, lymph and uterus. This oil mixes well with the oils like, all Citrus, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Cajuput and Lavender. However, this oil is not to be used for acute kidney infections or during pregnancy.

Uses of Juniper Oil

  • Strong antiseptic for the urinary tract with powerful diuretic properties and can help clear cystitis though it should never be used in cases of kidney inflammation.
