Classy designs are crafted on doors, windows and ceilings in the houses of the region. The beautifully crafted wooden furniture has drawn the attraction of craft lovers. The motifs mainly have Gods and goddesses and the craftsperson usually do specific latticework to fill in the open space of the windows, which gives a screen like effect.
The Kumaon and Garhwal region in the state make
traditional ornaments having very old designs and patterns. The ornaments are made in gold and silver and often copper was overlaid in brass.
