The The Chausat Yogini Temple belongs to the western group of temples, dedicated to the 64 Yoginis who are the manifestations of the Mother Goddess. It is assumed that the temple was built in 9th century AD, in Khajuraho. This prime ancient link makes the temple a spot of immense curiosity amongst the visitors who have a two-fold reason to visit Khajuraho.
Chausat Yogini Temple of Indore is built on a large raised podium which itself is set in an open courtyard with small temples surrounding it. These shrines respectively are devoted to the Yoginis.
