Esha Deol is the successor of the very famous couple of film industry being Dharmendra and Hema Malini. They are the proud parents of Esha and she is also the half sister of Sunny and Bobby Deol. There is a rich tradition of artistic superfluity in her blood, which also makes her immensely talented. She was born on 2nd November, in the year 1982 and went to Jamnabai Nursee School when a kid and then studied computer technology during her graduation and also completed masters in Media Arts from Oxford University.
As a child Esha excelled in sports especially soccer and was also a National Level Player. Esha is better versed in Tamil than in Hindi as her mother tongue. As already mentioned she is very talented and excels in Bharatanatyam a classical dance form. She was mentored by her mother Hema Malini who herself is a trained classical dancer. There have been numerous stage performances where one could spot her during her amazing performances. Recently in Orissa they the mother and the daughters` trio performed in a programme which enthralled the audience. Esha debuted in films with "Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe" in 2002, which also fetched her the Filmfare Best Debut Award though the film was a disaster in the box office. Apart from this also received the Star Screen Awards for best Newcomer and also Bollywood Movie Award for the same in 2003. After this her fate was not good enough to leave a mark in films until in 2003, when "LOC Kargil" fetched her the National Award. Recognition soon came in and she also started acting in Tamil films. The first one being "Ayitha Ezhuthu" in 2004 directed by Mani Ratnam who has a big name not only in south but also Bollywood. She also made it big in Bollywood with the release of "Dhoom` in 2004, which was a massive hit. Her next hit was "Kaal" which was jointly produced by Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan. 2005 seemed to be lucky for her after her next big hit "NoEntry" directed by Boney Kapoor. Then she was again noticed in "Dus"which was an action thriller. `Chura Liya Hai Tumne` didn`t do well at all along with some other like Kuchh To Hai. She was appreciated in the movie "Shaadi No.1", "Yuva" which was another Mani Ratnam hit. There were the regular films again not doing well like Kya Dil Ne Kaha, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and some others. She has acted opposite Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor and many others. She has been portrayed as coy as well as bold, which created quite a stir among the youth.
Esha Deol is young and vivacious and therefore has an array of big films, which might prove her credentials. She has quite a burden on her shoulders as she has accomplished parents and siblings in the same profession. Her sister Ahana also wants to make it big in the film industry as a director. It is therefore to see how far this girl goes and manages the glitz of stardom.
