Being the son of an army commander did not stop the very handsome and attractive actor Shiny Ahuja from making real big in the Bollywood Film Industry. Driven by the passion of acting since a very tender age he got attracted to the art of stage performance and then joined Barry Johns Acting School in the capital of the Indian subcontinent, the institute which became renowned all over the nation after giving birth to one of the superstars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.
This very talented actor was born on 15th May in the year 1969 in a family hailing from an army background. After completing his acting course he shifted to the tinsel town. Soon after he made his debut in the glamour world with the aid of some commercials. Following that he made his appearance in a music video for Stereo Nation, which is a British Asian band.
The exceptionally gifted Shiny Ahuja made his acting debut with the movie `Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi`, the debut of which took place in the year 2003 and saw the light of the day in the year 2005 after being released in all the theaters worldwide. This film was loosely based on the romantic saga in the life of the renowned actor Mahest Bhatt and the 1970s glamour doll Parveen Babi. The third release of his `Zindaggi Rocks` paired opposite the very sensuous and intelligent actress Sushmita Sen failed to create waves in the box-office but that did not succeed in bringing down his popularity even by a single percent. His other release `Life…In a Metro` in which starred opposite Shilpa Shetty gradually set fire in the box-office and went on to become of the most poignant feature film of the Hindi Film Industry with its take on the big bad corporate world.
The latest release of Shiny Ahuja, `Bhool Bhulaiya` in which his co-stars are none other than the very popular Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan has become a huge hit. His other recent release `Khoya Khoya Chand` opposite Soha Ali Khan is also enjoying soaring popularity at the box-office. His forthcoming venture `Har pall` is also awaited by his huge fan following and they are hoping to see him again in his brilliant `avtaar`. This actor has also been rewarded with many honors and the main ones include the Filmfare Best Debut Award for his role in `Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi` and the 2007 IIFA Awards for Best Actor (Critics). He was received the nomination for the Filmfare Best Villain Award for the character portrayal of Daya Shankar in `Gangster`.
On the personal front also Shiny Ahuja is an extremely happy and contented soul. He has tied the knot with a top-notch corporate woman Anupam Pandey who is of Bihari descent. His forthcoming ventures include `Har Pall` in which he will be seen opposite the barbie-doll actress Preity Zinta and he would also start shooting for another Bollywood flick `Hijack` in the near future. In the recent times he has many reasons to celebrate. His wife gave birth to a baby daughter and the big daddy of Bollywood yashraj productions recently signed a 3-movie deal with him.
