The extremely talented small screen actor Amit Khanna has wooed the audiences of the small screen by his character portrayal of Veer in the popular show of the recent past `Yeh Dil Chahta Hai`. He was initially in the limelight for being the nephew of the very popular Bollywood actor Govinda but then he moved ahead and proved that he was not in the shadow of the star but is here in the industry to prove his mettle in acting.
Amit Khanna is currently seen in the popular Balaji show `Karam Apna Apna`. In this soap he plays the `chawl guy` Ram and is a lower middle class guy. He is portrayed as a sincere and jolly man and has in him the charm of the heroes belonging to the 1980s era. About bagging the opportunity in this show he claims that he gone to audition for the role of a character in `Kayamath` but they selected him for a role in `Karam Apna Apna`. He is also fortunate to have got the opportunity to work with the most popular production house of the country. Defending his entry into a show, which does not show high TRPs, he claims that his entry is supposed to add a new meaning to the show.
About his future plans Amit Khanna claims that he would definitely look for more performance-oriented roles in the coming times. As of now he is on a sabbatical and is busy preparing for his M.B.A. exams. He is also spending lot of time with his family and is hunting for good work, which would help him to establish a firm footage in the television industry. However there is a lot more to expect from this actor in the coming times.
