Tulsi Lake is a fresh water lake located in the Borivali National Park in northern part of
Mumbai. It supplies drinking water to a part of the city and is the second largest and the most popular lake in Mumbai. It is situated about 32 km away from Mumbai.
The Powai - Kanheri hill ranges situated near the lake is the catchment area for the extra rainwater, which feeds the lake during the monsoon. There are two other lakes in the vicinity, which are the Vihar Lake and Powai Lake. Tulsi Lake was built as a result of a dam across the River Tasso. The nearest railway station is the Borivali Railway Station.
