Shweta Jhaveri has been regarded as the only Indian classical vocalist who has established the first music company named Cosmic Khayals, in 1999.

Shweta JhaveriShweta Jhaveri has been attributed with a magnetic voice, soulful aesthetics, technical brilliance, refreshing style and mesmeric quality that touch the heart. She has been reckoned as the only classical vocalist who holds the mastery over both the Hindustani classical vocal and world music. She performs the north Indian classical vocal in the genre of Khayal. Tappa, Thumri, Tarana and Bhajans are also executed in their excellent ways through rendition of Shweta Jhaveri.

Early Life of Shweta Jhaveri
Shweta Jhaveri was born at Ahmedabad to a surgeon father and literary mother. She was raised in an excellent cultural environment. She has been inducted to the world of music at the tender age of 6 years when she came under the umbrella of expert maestro late Pt.Vilasrao Khandekar of Kirana gharana. She has been ruling the world of Indian classical music since her 19 years of age. She has started fetching the honour as a pioneer vocalist from the years of her mid twenties. She has presented Hindustani classical music in its purest forms. Shweta Jhaveri has also attempted to incorporate her innovative ideas, creativity into her concerts and recordings that she has composed with world musicians. She has been receiving training under the Kirana Gharana for 15 years at Ahmedabad. Shweta Jhaveri has specialised in Prabandh which includes the north Indian vocal genre of Khayal, Dhrupad, Dhamar, Tappa, Thumri, Tarana and Hori.

Shweta Jhaveri has completed her graduation in B.A. in English literature. She also holds a Master degree in Indian classical music. She is also a lyricist, both in English and Hindi, and a composer as well. Shweta Jhaveri has further expanded her repertoire in the Khayal form under the guidance of illustrious vocalist of Mewati gharana Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.

Career of Shweta Jhaveri
Shweta Jhaveri has executed in an extensive manner throughout India, USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Bangladesh, Dubai, Mauritius and Singapore. She has also bagged the honour of being the first Hindustani vocalist who has performed in Argentina in the year 2001. Jhaveri also gives tutelage and for that reason she conducts Spring and Summer school classes in California, USA. She has also fetched the attraction of students from different parts of the world. At the esteemed Ali Akbar College of Music, San Rafael USA, she was invited to serve as the guest lecturer. She has also sung for the Indian national TV and feature films. Shweta Jhaveri has been the first as well as the youngest Indian classical vocalist. She has also bagged the honour of being interviewed by the BBC, UK 1989 and the NPR, USA. She is also regarded as the creator of raga Krishna Bhairavi.

Other Activities of Shweta Jhaveri
Shweta Jhaveri has been the founder member of Cosmic Khayals, a music company that features her music and lyrics. Cosmic Khayals founded in the year 1999. This company is the first music company that is founded by a Hindustani classical vocalist. It published her original Indian classical and world music. She has founded the company when she was only at her 30 years of age. Cosmic Khayals stands like a stalwart with the aim of preserving Indian classical music and exploring world music. Shweta Jhaveri has also established a record label, 21st Century Cosmos Music. Since the year 2003, it has produced - promulgated Shweta`s Indian classical vocal CDs, Avishkar and Khayal Saga, as well as world music Cds, Anahita and Huge.

Achievements of Shweta Jhaveri
Acknowledging Shweta Jhaveri`s talent, she has been conferred many accolades both in India and abroad. Jhaveri in very recent time has been conferred the American Society of composers authors publishers - ASCA Plus for classical CD Avishkar in the year 2005 and in the year 2007, she has been conferred award for world music lyrics from New York, USA. In the very same year, Shweta Jhaveri also won the Gujarat State Academy Award from India for Indian classical vocal music.

In the fields of Indian classical vocal and World vocal music, Shweta Jhaveri has been regarded as a musician par excellence, who always magnetised her audiences with her execution.
