The extremely talented actor Shishir Sharma has carved a special niche for himself in the hearts of the telly audiences by means of his performance-oriented roles in almost all the shows of which he is a part. In the recent past he was seen in the hugely popular kids show `Shakalaka Boom Boom`. In this soap he essayed the role of a principal. With so much of intensity in his performance he managed to captivate the small screen viewers with his magnitude. Not being the conventional good looking hero still he has managed to occupy a special corner in the television industry and is known by all for always opting to play roles which have substance in it.

Currently one can see him in two popular dailies, `Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan` and Kumkum - Pyara Sa Bandhan`. In both the shows Shishir Sharma enacts the role of negative characters and has made the viewers hate him to the core by means of his brilliant performances. In the former show he was playing the role of Saraswati and Lakshmi`s father-in-law. But soon after he left the show because he was not happy with the way his track was progressing in the soap. In the other show also he essays the role of a culprit robbing the lead protaginists of the show their home and property along with the help of the equally cunning and malicious Sukanya (played by Alka Kaushal). He was also seen in a splendid performance in another popular family entertainer `Dhadkan` in which he was playing uncle to another popular small screen actress Gautami Gadgil.

Presently Shishir Sharma is also seen in a Doordarshan afternoon daily called `Nargis`. In it he is playing the character of Mehfooz, the `nanaji` or grandfather of Nargis. He has earned huge critical acclaim. He has also been successful in making mark in the Bollywood Film Industry and has acted in popular Bollywood flicks like `Dhund - The Fog`, `Om Jai Jagdish` and `Danger`. In all the movies he had meted out brilliant performances but in `Om Jai Jagdish` he charmed the silver screen audiences with the magnificent aura of an industrialist. There is a lot more to expect from this talented actor in the coming times and he is sure to live up to the expectations of his fans.
