Shevaroy Hills

Shevaroy Hills is another name for Selvarayan range of hills, which is situated near Salem in Tamil Nadu. The hill range covers an area of fifty square kilometers. The plateaus are situated at an elevation of four thousand to five thousand feet above mean sea level. The term Selvarayan in Tamil means, `the beautiful one`. The Yeracud town is situated amidst the Shevaroy Hills.

The major attractions in the Shevaroy Hills are Orchidarium administered by the Botanical Survey of India and the old coffee estates.
