
Nako Lake is situated in the Pooh-sub division of the Kinnaur district of
Himachal Pradesh. The lake is located 3,662 metres above mean sea level and is surrounded by willow and poplar trees. It is located 117 kilometers from Kalpa. In the vicinity of the lake there are a number of Buddhist monastries. There are four
Buddhist temples on the northern side of the lake. In all the temples there are images, which is believed to be of the saint Padmasambhava.
The lake provides ample provides boating facilities during summer and is a frozen ground during the winters, which makes it the perfect lace for ice-skating.
