Manoj Joshi, Indian TV Actor

The extremely talented actor Manoj Joshi has established himself very firmly on the small screen and also on the silver screen in the recent times. He is also an established theater artiste and has starred in many popular theater shows. He has made a mark by appearing on the television in the character portrayal of Pooja`s father in the hugely hit show `Yeh Meri Life Hai`. He has also been seen in another hit soap `Kehta Hai Dil` where he played the character of an evil father-in-law and also of a corrupt politician. He always has the keen desire in him to be versatile and wants to display his acting skills in an assortment of roles. The popular soaps in which he is featured are `Chanakya`, `Janeman Janeman`, `Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye`, `Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka` and `C.I.D`.

Manoj Joshi has also delivered brilliant comic portrayals in many popular Bollywood chartbusters and has gained a huge round of applause. He started off with his Bollywood character in the year 1999 in the Aamir Khan starrer `Sarfarosh`. He starred in the Bollywood blockbuster movies like `Hera Pheri`, `Bhagam Bhag`, `Vivah`, `Hulchul` and recently `Bhulbhulaiya`. However the most memorable role of his is as Inspector Waghmare in the Bollywood flick `Hungama`. He was also seen in a very significant role in the multiple award-winning film `Devdas` and also the much acclaimed films `Chadni Bar` and `Satta`.

Manoj Joshi, TV Actor The audiences were also delighted to see his splendid performances in Mehul Kumar`s `Jaago` and Feroz Nadiawala`s `Aan`. In the former one he played the role of a corrupt lawyer and the name if his character was Satya Prakash Satwani and fights for the release of some rapists. He has also worked in the Marathi soap `Bajirao Mastani` as Peshwa Bajirao I and the serial was produced by Smita Talwalkar. He is a very happy man and has a decent number of films in his kitty. His forthcoming releases are Yash Chpra`s `Dhun` and Nandita Singha`s `Drishti`.

Currently his new play `Rangeela Re` has hit the stage in a big way. In this play Manoj Joshi is being portrayed in six different roles. This play has been originally written, directed and performed by Dilip Prabhavalkar. This very play is being adapted and enacted by Manoj in Hindi. The five characters in which the actor enacts brilliantly are that of a young dude of Channel [V], a Mongolian prince Wong Tung Pin Pin, an Gujarati housewife `Kokilaben`, the president of all India Dabbawala Association Paandoba Waghmare, the Indian legend Chanakya and a 85 years old actor Jayshankar Joshi.

At present he is not doing any serials and wants to be committed solely to his career in Bollywood. Very few people are aware of this fact that this actor also holds a Diploma in Fine Arts and also admits that the medium has opened enough opportunities for stage artistes. He also remarked in a recent interview that acting in films is much more subtle than performing on stage. He is always enthralled by the sense of satisfaction that he gets from his stage performances. It is an obvious expectation that this actor has his kitty full to entertain and mesmerize the audience with his acting potential and performance-oriented roles.
