The daughter of the famous scriptwriter Javed Siddique, Lubna Salim has established herself in television and theater.

Lubna Salim, the daughter of the renowned playwright and Hindi film scriptwriter has successfully made her mark in the television industry and also as a theater artiste. Her birth took place in a family, which holds high regards for theater and who are also an integral part of the acting world. It did not come as a surprise to the audiences that her inclination towards the stage at a very tender age is a natural progression. Her parents were very much attached to Indian People Theatre Association (IPTA). This also led her to choose the medium of stage to explore her creative bent of mind since she was a child. One of the earliest plays of her life was also with IPTA. The theater audience would cherish her acting skills through the character of Hori in the play `Hori` which was directed by Kamlakar Sontake in the year 1979.

The very talented Lubna Salim grew up with the likes of prominent actors and theater artistes like Rohini Hattangady, Arundhati Nag, A.K. Hangal, Farooque Sheikh, M.S. Sathyu, Sulabha Arya and many others. From these talented souls she picked up the essentials of delivering her best in the stage performances. She perhaps got the best of possible schooling from these prominent actors who has already wooed the hearts of the audiences with their splendid performances. The essential parts that she picked up from these noble and talented beings helped her to deliver her best in the later plays like `Bakri`, `Lok Katha`, `Andha Choohe`, `Aakhri Sawal` and others. Thus her fans have seen her gwoing as a more matured actor and she never seemed to have snapped her ties with the stage. After completing her school she joined the Mithibhai College where she pursued her studies along with her theater stints. During her college days also she bagged many awards including the prestigious `Balraj Sahani Award` for the best actress. She claims that this is one of the happiest moments of her life.

TV Actress: Lubna Salim The television serials such as `Daaman` and `Chhatrapati Shivagi` saw her scale the heights of success as a seasoned actress. Not only in acting Lubna Salim has also earned huge acclaim in the modeling world by endorsing popular brands of consumer products like Pepsodent, Ariel and many others. Currently she is seen in the character portrayal of `Baa Bahu Aur Baby`, which has earned her another huge round of accolades. In the theater also she is known to have worked with the most popular directors in well-liked plays like `Kharaashein`, `Aapki Soniya`, `Peele Patton Ka Ban` and `Kachhe Lamhe`. She has also made her presence felt in the Bollywood Film Industry by working with famous directors like Raman Kumar and Kundan Shah.

On the personal front also she is quite a happy soul. Lubna Salim had tied the knot at a very early age. Soon after completing her graduation she was working with the Discovery channel and it is there when she met with the costume designer of the series Salim and two year later they were bounded in the matrimonial alliance. Soon after marriage she took a sabbatical from the television industry to raise her two sons. But following that with the encouragement of her husband she once again made a great comeback in the world of acting.

The most memorable role in her life is that of Jijabai in the historical drama `Chhatrapati Shivaji` and the career graph which stretched from that of 20 years to 64 years made her deliver one of the best performances of her life for which she was also nominated for the ITA Best Actress Award twice. She also does not fee hesitant to put up so much of hectic hours in her work as she sees her creative urge getting satisfied through her on-screen performances. This talented actress also has in store a lot more of performance-oriented roles with which she promises to leave her fans spellbound.
