The versatile actress Indira Krishnan has already charmed the small screen audiences with the role of Ananya`s intelligent mother in the popular family entertainer `Ek Laadki Anjani Si`. In the recent past she was seen playing the role of Kiran Karmakar`s wife and also the mother of newcomer Parak Madan in the super hit family saga `Saathi Re`. The one thing that the actress hates about the art of acting is playing stereotypical roles. She remarked in a recent interview that "Playing the same monotonous roles kills creativity`.

Indira Krishnan however seemed to be very excited about donning the new `avtaar` which was of an insecured wife trapped in the anxieties revolving her daughter`s life. To her the role is always the first criteria as her very passion lies in acting and she holds the firm belief that if the role is demanding then she is ready to give it a shot without the monetary considerations being on her favor. She is also thrilled about the rave reviews that her new show has dropped in her kitty. She herself is such a talented actress that being paired with Kiran Karmakar will only see the small screen viewers bubbling with delight in being provided with some wholesome entertainment. The other reason, which she provides for having taken up the role in a recently held interview, is far more convincing as she claims that she has lot of hopes pinned on the show by Sanjoy Wadhwa. Sometime back her fans were also happy to see her in the Balaji blockbuster show `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki` in which she essayed the role of Anjana.

The artistically endowed Indira Krishnan is also very happy about the way things are shaping up for her and she claims that in the present times she is looking for some different kind of roles. Now she wants to try her luck in some adventurous character portrayals like that of a C.I.D. Officer. She also claims for these types of roles she does not have to be necessarily thin, being mentally fit is more than anything else.
