Raja Dip Prakash had built it exactly at a distance of 17 kilometers from Nahan and 6 kilometers from Kala Amb.

Balasundari TempleThe Balasundari Temple located at Nahan was built in the year 1573. Raja Dip Prakash had built it exactly at a distance of 17 kilometers from Nahan and 6 kilometers from Kala Amb, the gateway to Nahan from Haryana. Pilgrims from all over Northern India, especially from Haryana and Himachal gather at the temple dedicated to goddess Mahamaya Bala Sundari.

According to a popular legend, a fierce battle between the Rajput and the enemies of Ghulam Quadir Rahilla, a Mughal General took place. Just at a state when the Rajput army were facing am imminent defeat, a woman appeared on the scene. She turned the humiliating defeat of the Rajput to a glorious victory.To commemorate the victory of the Rajputs over the enemies, this temple was constructed.

A fair is held twice a year in the temple complex during Navratras in April and October. A large number of devotees come from different parts of the country and pay their respect to the goddess during this time.
