Universities of Assam
The Universities of Assam have produced eminent personalities to the nation in various fields of study.

Assam is located in the northeastern corner of India. The state has an illustrious recorded history. Some of the renowned academic institutes in the country are located here, which enhances the rich cultural heritage of the state.

Tezpur University is a Central University located in Napaam in Assam with the aim to make higher education accessible to large segments of the population.

Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati was established in 1994 for imparting education and conducting research in science, engineering and technology in the region.

The Gauhati University was established in 1948, which has been granted a four star status by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Dibrugarh University situated at Rajabheta in Assam, imparts education on conventional and unconventional subjects.

The Assam University provides a multidisciplinary approach to higher education and was established in 1994.

The Assam Agricultural University established in 1969 conducts teaching, research and extension education in the field of agriculture and allied sciences.
