Prabhat Bhattacharya , Indian TV Actor
The talented actor Prabhat Bhattacharya shot to fame with the character of the lawyer son Ajay in `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki`.

The poplar small screen actor Prabhat Bhattacharya is a Bengali by birth but by means of immense potential has managed to woo the audiences of the Indian Television. He shifted to the tinsel town some years back to attend a martial arts tournament and was soon fascinated by theater. He had never thought that he will take acting as his career but the art of stage performance inspired him so much that he soon joined a theater group. By that time he has already begun to circulate his pictures and had also joined Anand Mahendroo`s production house as an assistant director. After a considerable span of time he developed interest in the art of acting and decided to take up acting as his full-time career.

Prabhat Bhattacharya is quite a late starter in the television industry so he did not get any time to join any acting classes and had a lot of catching to do. T V Actor : Prabhat Bhattacharya It has never made any difference to him whether he is acting in celluloid or theater. He considers both to be a good learning ground. He claims that if he had been a part of the acting world he would have been able to network in a much better way. While adopting acting techniques he claims that he needs plenty of rehearsals before he enacts any scene. He also experiments with the voice and facial modulation. Sometimes his co-stars get short of patience but he prefers to take it on his stride, as he would never compromise on details. He also does not like to differentiate between being a method actor and spontaneous actor and claims that every spontaneous actor essentially starts off as a method actor.

About bagging the plum role of Ajay in the Balaji chartbuster show `Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki` Prabhat Bhattacharya claimed in a recent interview that he had been able to woo the heart of Ekta Kapoor by his earlier performance and when he was offered the role he accepted it gladly. Even before he knew it the part was given to him to enact and after a few sessions he got into the skin of the character and the rest is of course history. He claims that he could also identify with some traits of the character and gradually built up a special corner for himself in the hearts of the television viewers. He also does not have a dream role in his mind to mete out his best performance. He just needs a role of substance to showcase his acting skills on a global front. He further claims that he does not crib for getting the role of the protagonist but whatever role he gets he tries to give his best to woo his huge fan following. He asserts that he had come to this industry to present his creativity and had always assumed that people in the industry are just like him.

Recent his fans can see him in two popular Balaji shows `Kasturi` and `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. In the former one Prabhat Bhattacharya is seen in the role of the protagonist`s brother Ajay whose wife and mother are always hatching malicious plots to make the life of Kasturi`s (played by Shubhangi Atre) hell. The only thing he is disappointed with in the acting world is the attitude of the artistes who does not seem to put in any sort of effort to make their performances better. After meting out such powerhouse performances in the small screen he still cannot claim to be called an accomplished actor as there are times still when he does not like to see himself on screen.

The list of actors who tops the list of his inspiration are Amitabh Bachhan, Dilip Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Shah Rukh Khan, Nicolas Cage and Dustin Hoffman. He remarks that he absolutely loves these actors`s performance and the amount of focus they put in one scene is truly remarkable. Among his favorite director he is particularly fond of Anurag Basu and Sanjay Upadhayay, as they know how to tap the creativity of an actor. This gifted actor also had his share of the silver screen space by acting in a Bollywood flick called `Pehchaan` which had the very glamorous Raveena Tandon in the lead role. On the professional level he still desires to go and perform on stage as he feels that he can express his feelings and emotions to the audiences in a much better manner. Such an actor with such immense potential and strong dedication level is sure to rock the whole nation in the coming time by means of his performance-oriented roles.
