Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University is located at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.It was established in the year 1964 as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University. Later it was renamed after Acharya N. G. Ranga who was the greart educationist, social leader and freedom fighter of the state .

The University offers under-graduate, post-graduate, doctorate, diploma and certificate courses in differents fields of agriculture The University has following faculties -Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Home Science.The University has 9 colleges, 8 Agricultural Polytechnics,1 Horticultural Polytechnic, 1 Multipurpose Polytechnic and 12 Krishi Vigyan Kendras.For extensive research the University has 58 research centers.There are also 22 District Agricultural Advisory, one Agricultural Technology and Information Centre and Electronic Media Wing of the University.
