The very talented actor Darshan Dave has become a household name by the character portrayal of Sujeet in `Ghar Ek Sapna`. Earlier he has done a few commercials and telly films and makes his television debut in a serial called `Ghar Ek Sapna`. In this soap he plays the role of a newly married and handsome don in the Indian state of Bihar. When he sees a guy from Mumbai flirting with his sister-in-law he compels that guy to marry her at gunpoint. He is portrayed as a hero for some and for others he is a villain. He justified his character quite well in a recent interview and also claims that he has found the character very positive from a certain point of view. He prefers to be strongly negative rather than being cheaply negative. He in fact considers himself fortunate as because he has got to play a strong and larger than life character.

Prior to making his debut in television Darshan Dave has done quite a number of commercials and telefilms with Ajai Sinha and Ravi Chopra and has impressed the makers with his acting flair. In future he would love to act in films and would only prefer to be in the main lead. If it does not happen that way than he is happy doing central characters in television. He also does not believe that it is difficult to get lead roles in films once a person becomes a popular face on television. He has also not planned his career at any point of time and would like to be a trendsetter. However he believes in proceeding gradually and giving his best in both the mediums of television and films. He is confident that his hard work will pay off well one day and he will be able to achieve his long-cherished dreams.
