Mettupalayam is a ` panchayat town` situated in Tiruchirapalli district of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. Tiruchirapalli, the district headquarters is located in the south at a distance of 45 kilometers. It is well connected to the other cities and towns in the state because the nearest access points are the Tiruchirapalli Junction Railway Station and the Tiruchirapalli Airport.
