Kunzer, Baramulla, Jammu & Kashmir
Kunzer is the name of a town, which is located in the Baramulla district having a total population of 1901.

While introspecting all the states of India one can easily come across various towns and cities that have developed here by leaps and bounds. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is also not an exception. Amongst various towns, Kunzer deserves to be worth mentioning. It is an example of a town, which is administered by a `notified area committee`. Kunzer is on the district of Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir state.

The study of any town or place is incomplete without gaining acquaintance with the demographical scenario of the concerned town. For fulfilling such motives a multitude of demographers have conducted numerous surveys and research works, which enable them to throw some light on the demography of this Kunzer town. Regarding this, the census report of India that has been published in the year 2001 has caught the attention of these experts. A quick glance through this report makes it possible for any person to identify the status of males , females and also children who are living in this Kunzer town. Thus as per the report the total population of Kunzer has been enumerated to be 1901. Out of it , population of males comprises of 47 percent . A point that needs emphasis is the fact that in this Kunzer town the number of females in Kunzer is more than that of males.

In other words , 53 percent is the population of females in Kunzer. In Kunzer, children below six years of age constitutes of 13 percent of the population.

Literacy rate of Kunzer also acts as important information. It has been found out that the average literacy rate of Kunzer is 46 percent, which is even lower than that of the entire nation. India`s average literacy rate is 59.5%. To be specific , rate of male literacy constitutes of 62 percent . However unlike its population, rate of female literacy is less than that of males and it showed a measurement of 30 percent.
