The responsibility of administrating Kuniyamuthur, which is located in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu state.

It is located in the district of Coimbatore of the same state. A municipality has been formed in order to look after the administration of this Kuniyamuthur. Strategically, Kuniyamuthur is located approximately at 10°58`48"N and 76°57`0"E.

In fact as per the reliable source this district is the largest producer of `Gingelly` crop in the whole of Tamil Nadu state. `Cotton, coconut, arenut, betel, corn, maize, millets, sugarcane` are the chief products of this district. Few industries too have grown in the district. `Textile mills`, `Light and heavy engineering`, `Hosiery and garments`, `wind mills` are quite significant.

Literacy rate too acts as vital information about Kuniyamuthur. What is interesting to note that the average literacy rate of Kuniyamuthur is 75 percent which is higher than that of the entire nation. 59.5 percent is the average literacy rate of Kuniyamuthur. Like many other places in India, in Kuniyamuthur also, rate of male literacy is more than that of females. In other words, male literacy rate is 80 percent and rate of female literacy is 70 percent only.

In Kuniyamuthur, numerous buildings like Industries, colleges, schools, hospitals, Farms, rice/cotton Mills etc have built in order to suffice the needs of the people in Kuniyamuthur. The place is connected by roads and highways. Ukkadam Bus Stand lies in its closest proximity.
