Situated in the Dewas district , the nagar panchyat town, namely, Kantaphod.has got a population of 9240.

In the district of Dewas, Kantaphod is the name of a nagar panchayat town of the state of Madhya Pradesh of India.

Without studying the demographical scenario of India it becomes next to impossible for a person to develop acquaintance with the salient characteristics of any particular town. For that reason, the eminent demographers have conducted surveys and research works, which made it possible for them to gather more and information about the demography of this Kantaphod In this regard a special mentioning may be made of the census report that has been issued forth in the year 2001. From it one can get to know data that are related to the population status, literacy rate etc of Kantaphod. According to this report, the total population of Kantaphod showed a count of 9240. Industrial growth has occurred. Items of handiworks have enriched the economy of this Dewas district. For excreting oil from soybean, several modern industrial units too have flourished. In order to sustain their livelihood the localites also have adapted to various agricultural activities. Main crops that are produced here include soyabeen, wheat and gram.
