Arpita Roy , Odissi Dancer
Arpita Roy has shown her brilliance in the field of Odissi dance as well as academics.

Arpita Roy under the umbrella of Guru Mayadhar Raut has been trained in Odissi style of dance. She has undergone training in Odissi for 11 years. After that she moved to United States to pursue her study in Cultural Anthropology at the U.C. Berkeley. But her fondness towards dance guided her towards Jyoti Rout, who is an accomplished dance teacher in the Bay Area of California.

Arpita Roy has been graduating in the concept of `symmetry in the evolutionary theory of homeotic genes as a locus of contestation and classification of knowledges and practices`.
