The census town namely Kuju is located in the Hazaribagh district of the Indian state of Jharkhand.

A direct introspection of the Indian states enables anyone to come over to innumerable towns and cities that have grown in the Indian subcontinent. The state of Jharkhand too is not an exception either. As has been eagerly observed by the experts, Kuju has caught the attention of a number of people. Kuju is a census town. It is situated in the district of Hazaribagh of the same Jharkhand state.

The strategic location of Kuju town too is important. Approximately Kuju lies between 23.72° N 85.5° E and rises to a tentative height of 426 metres or 1397 feet above the mean sea level.

Following the pace of the growth of this very state, the eminent demographers have been able to make clear to the mass about the significant demographical features that are connected to this Kuju town. As far as Kuju`s demography is apprehended, a due reference of the census report of India is a must. Being published in the year 2001 it has documented certain information related to this Kuju town. Thus at a single glance of the report enables one to know about information viz. population, literacy condition etc. As has been mentioned in this Census report of India , the total population of Kuju town has been measured to be18,049 .

Apart from this, the condition of females , males as well as children who are domiciling in this Kuju town also can be deciphered. . Thus male populace constitutes of 54 percent. Also the population of females in Kuju is 46 percent. In Kuju town 15 percent of the total population comprises of the children who are below six years of age.

Literacy rate, a vital indicator for identifying the growth or development of a place, also throws some light about this Kuju town. This of course helps one to come to conclusion that the average literacy rate of Kuju is higher than that of the entire. Therefore on the basis of this above-mentioned fact about literacy it can be said that Kuju is also a developed town. 60 percent and 59.5 percent respectively are the rates of average literacy of Kuju and India. If one delves deep into it , one finds no difficulty to say that just like female population , rate of their literacy too is less than the male counterparts. Thus female literacy rate is 50 percent and the rate of male literacy is 69 percent.
