The very pretty and charming actress Kanchi Kaul essayed the character portrayal of Ananya Sachdev in the popular Sony show `Ek Ladki Anjaani Si`. She made her entry into the glam world just taking it as a part time profession but later on established her footage here as plump roles began falling in her kitty at regular intervals. She completed her graduation in the Science stream from Jai Hind College in Mumbai. She also endorsed several popular brands like Santro, Johnson, Sangini, Wheel and Clearasil. She has also to her credit half a dozen Telegu movies.

In the recent times however she has become a famous face in the television circuit with the character portrayal Ananya Sachdev in the popular soap `Ek Ladki Anjani Si` which was adapted from the extremely popular Spanish soap `Juana La Virgen`. In the initial stages of her career she kept on getting a lot of offers from dailies and weeklies but she was not too keen doing them as she did not want to be the part of the typical family drama that people watch merely out of habit rather than interest.

Kanchi Kaul is a pretty Kashmiri and off-screen she is a lovely girl full of life and vigor. Besides her work she loves surfing the net and playing tennis. She is also very fond of traveling and good food. She claims that acting is her passion and it gives her opportunity to do things that she would never do in real life. She also has plans of establishing herself in the Bollywood Film Industry.

In the recent past she has also acted in one Bollywood flick `Woh Tera Naam Tha` which did not create any waves in the box office. She would love to concentrate on films if she gets good offers. In the soap however she plays a young girl who gets impregnated accidentally and her life takes a dramatic turn soon after this. According to her it was indeed a dream role and she had also given her best to live upto the expectations of the small screen audiences.
