Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia is a member of the Indian National Congress and the member of the 14th Lok Sabha. He is the descendant of the Scindia family and the Maharajah of the formerly princely state of Gwalior. Born on 1st January in 1971 in Mumbai, his father was politician, Madhavrao Scindia and mother was Madhavi Raje Scindia.
Jyotiraditya Scindia studied in the Doon School and then went to the Harvard University and Stanford University of U.S. After completing his education he worked as an investment banker for multinationals like Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He also had the opportunity to work with the UN Economic Development Cell and that also as an intern. Along with a brilliant academic career he also has a course in car racing from USA. His earlier experiences of working with multinationals make him extremely hardworking.

Jyotiraditya Scindia`s entry into active politics was not a matter of choice but by chance. He began his political career in 2002 when he was elected as the representative of the constituency of Guna after his father died in an air crash. He won the General Elections of May 2004 from the same constituency becoming one of the youngest members of the 14th Lok Sabha. With this performance veteran politicians now see him as one of the most promising faces in Indian politics.
At present he is also serving as the Chairman of the governing body of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science.
He is married to Priyadarshini Raje Gaekwad Scindia of Baroda. They have two children the elder one is Mahanaryaman Scindia who was born in 1995 and Ananya Raje Scindia who was born in 2002.
