Jodhpur district is located in the western part of Rajasthan. Sprawling over an area of 22,850 sq.km. it is encompassed by the Bikaner district in the north, Nagaur district in the northeast, Ajmer district on the south and southeast, Pali district on the southwestand the Jaisalmer district on the west and northwest.
