Vikram Kapadia has more than 17 years of theater behind him. He is generally regarded as a multi-media personality. He has graduated from the Actor`s Studio in Mumbai, which was headed by the former Principal of FTII, Pune Roshan Taneja. He rose in his career graph through conducting workshop with famous international theater experts like Peter Brook, Steven Berkoff, Maria Irena Fornes, Naseeruddin Shah, Pt. Satyadev Dubey, N. Muthuswamy and Pearl Padamsee. Not only that he also equipped himself by educating in western classical ballet and ballroom dance under the expertise of Tushna Dallas; he also underwent rigorous training in tap-dancing under the celebrated film choreographer Pscar Unger. Farida Pedder mainly inspired his interest for jazz. His notable stage productions can be listed as follow: `The Good Doctor (1984), `As You Love It (1987), `The Measute Taken` in the year 1988 and `Caine Mutiny Court in the year 1993. In fact the year 1987 holds special significance for him as he launched his own theater group with an assortment of like-minded professionals. In addition to this it also marked his directorial debut with `Six Characters in Search on an Author` by Luigi Pirandello.

Within a short span of 13 years Vikram Kapadia has a list of directorial productions under his credit. Among them the most popular ones are `Rupert`s Birthday` by Ken Jenkin, `Juilius caesar`, `Romeo and Juliet` by William Shakespeare and `Musk Maiden` by Makrand Deshpande. In the recent past he has also contributed to the medium of television some of the very prominent roles in popular soaps like `A Mouthful of Sky`, `Rishtey`, `Saturday Suspense` and `Just Mohabbat`. Sometime back he was seen in a staunch negative character portrayal in the hugely popular Balaji thriller `K. Street Pali Hill`. He also holds acting workshop with a group of children. He has also ready three production lined up in his kitty. `The Lord of the Flies` is the first one among them. In fact his productions are always a theater bonanza and a unique experience to all theater enthusiasts.
