The teen queen Sanchita Bhattacharya came to the limelight after winning the Zee`s Sa Re Ga Ma L`il Champs. This brilliant singer was born in the `City of Joy`, Kolkata and is by nature a very bubbly child with high dreams for the future. Winning the Musical Talent Hunt has made much difference in the life of Sanchita Bhattacharya. On the final day also she broke into tears thinking that she had not made it to the top. But then all her fears sank in once when the Bollywood superstar handed her the winning prize of a scholarship worth 15 Lakhs. She has also won a contract to cut her own album. Shah Rukh Khan was so much so impressed by her singing capability that he labeled her the `Future of India`. After winning the contest the extremely talented youngster claimed that " I spent most of my days practicing so I was quite confident of winning. But there were times when I gave up on myself".

Sanchita Bhattacharya started taking her formal lessons in training just four years back. Her parents felt on top of the world at their child`s glorious victory in the contest. They never thought in their wildest dreams also that their child would win. They only wanted that she would put in her best efforts and just wanted her to get experience of performing in front of large audiences. They also felt that this contest was a huge platform to launch their ward. After winning the contest however Sanchita returned back to Kolkata and completed her class IX examinations. At present she is considering offers that her coming her way and preparing herself for the better future. She is also getting offers to perform at award functions and shows and has also completely shifted her base to the `City of Dreams`.

Recently she has also got her first break in Bollywood and is doing a song for the Bollywood flick `Mithya` which is being produced by Planman Motion Pictures. The music composer of the film, Sagar Desai is gaga about her voice quality and claims that she sings quite like a seasoned playback singer already. It is also hoped by her huge fan following that her soaring popularity will take her to millions of households.
