Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala is a noteworthy Bharatanatyam dancer who has established Kalapradarshini Trust.

Parvathi Ravi GhantasalaBharatanatyam is reckoned as an ancient divine classical dance form. It is a new personification of the mythological and historical traditions, which is associated with the Natyashastra. Smt.Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala originally belongs to a family of authorities of Fine Arts and has further outlined this art form through her skill, talent and dedication. Under her celebrated guru "Kalaimamani " Smt. Krishnakumari Narendran, she learnt Bharatanatyam. Smt. Krishnakumari Narendran has been the Director of Abhinaya Natyalaya. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala had her Arangetram in the year 1978.This experienced and dedicated dancer has ruled for more than two decades on stage. She has also choreographed and organised dance programmes.

At the Music Academy, Krishna Gana Sabha, Naradha Gana Sabha, Kartik fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts, Bharat Kalachar and Tamil Isai Sangam are a few where most of her extremely applauded dance recitals took place. She has also performed at prestigious sabhas in Chennai and also in festivals like Swarna Samaroh, Kalakshetra Foundation, Dehradun`s Doon Festival, Brindavan Shamadosta, World Tamil Conference etc. Many places at abroad she has performed her compositions. In Doordarshan, Parvathi is an "A" grade artiste, who has performed several times in "Kendras" and Central Production Centre, New Delhi. This empanelled artiste of the I.C.C.R., New Delhi, has also been the receiver of the highest award conferred by the state of Tamil Nadu, the "Kalaimamani award".

Parvathi Ravi GhantasalaSri Saint Thyagaraja, Swathi Thirunal, Mahakavi Subrahmanya Bharathiar, Thirumoolar Thirumandiram are her solo compositions, which stands as examples of enraptured coalescing of the dance with her themes. These compositions have earned high praise from critics. "Arul Adal" is her dance ballets, of which Thiru Arputa of Ramalinga Adigal composed the music. Her other ballets are: "Ambalavananum Aranganum". Kunnakudi Sri R.Vaidyanathan (Thirumari and Divyaprabandam) composed the music; "Utchi Thilagam" the music was by Sri L.Vaidyanathan (Abirami Andadi and Padigam); "Annamaiah" (Krithis of Annamachariya), Sri Pasupathi and Sri L. Vaidyanathan compiled this ballet. Her Guru Smt.Krishnakumari Narendran choreographed all the ballets. Her other ballets on the devotional themes are: Ramakatha Manjari, Krishna Kanniah, Madhurai Nayaki, Dasavataram. Solo performances by her are: St. Thyagaraja, Maharaja Swathi Thirunal, Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharatiyar, Thirumoolar Thirumanthiram, 9 Shri Mahaveer Bagvan, Pon Ambalam, Ananda Natana Prakasam.

Kalapradarshini Trust (Centre for performing Arts and Cultural Activities) has been founded by Parvathi. She endlessly plays an active role in the promulgation of performing Arts. She gives training to the aspiring students in Bharatanatyam, vocal and musical instruments. Two well recompensed dance and music programmes are organized by Kalapradarshini every month. The school was founded in the year 1998

On a variety of themes, her unparalleled solo `thematic presentations` and `panoramic dance dramas` provides her students with a possibility to perform on stage and refine their skills and talents.
