| Krishna Poonia , Indian woman discus thrower

| Krishna Poonia originally hails from Gagarwas village in Churu district, Rajasthan, is an Indian national discus thrower. In the year 2006, she won the bronze medal at the Asian Games held at Doha. She has represented Indian railways in national tournaments. Her personal best is 61.53 metre in the second try. She finished behind Aimin Sing of China (63.52) and Ma Xuenjun, also of China (62.43). In the 46th Open National athletics championships, Krishna Poonia had won gold medal to intrude ahead of favourites Seema Antil and Harwant Kaur while registering a career-best 60.10 metres distance.
