Hesla is a census town that is situated in the Hazaribag district of the state of Jharkhand

Quite a number of cities and towns have developed in every part of the vast territory of India. There is no dearth of cities and towns in the sate of Jharkhand as well. Amongst them, Hesla is quite significant. Infact Hesla is a `census town` that has been established in the district of Hazaribag of the same state.

The geographical location throws some light about the Hesla town. It is located at approximately at 24.07° N 85.88° E. It has an average height of 365 metres or 1197 feet.

The knowledge about any city would be incomplete without identifying the demographical situation of any place of town .So many demographers have also come up with certain observations regarding the Hesla town. Special mentioning can be made of the Census report of India that came out in the year 2001. According to this report, the total population of Hesla has been counted to be 5860. From it also, one can understand the status of males, females as well as children of the Hesla town. Thus, out of the total population of Hesla , females constitute of 47 percent , while males constitute of 53 percent. In the town of Hesla, 12 percent of the population is below six years of age.

Some information about the literacy rate of the Hesla town too can be deciphered. It is quite interesting to note that Hesla has an average literacy rate of 78% which is higher than that of the entire nation. The average literacy of the nation has been counted to be 59.5%. The literacy rate of males is 83 percent, while the female literacy rate has been measured to be 73 percent .
