Striking looks and powerhouse performances that is what describes Gunjan Vijaya aka Archita to the hilt. At present she is seen in the most popular Balaji show and the longest running family drama `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. Soon after she landed with a role in `Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan`. When her role came to an end over there she moved on to enact the character portrayal of Archita in `Kyunki`. In this soap she is seen as a very sweet and loveable character who is unlike her mom and does not at all believe in hurting people. She is one of the grandchildren of the Virani households and jells very well with her cousin. She is also the youngest in the new generation of the characters and is loved by everyone in the family for her nice demeanor. She is only scared of her on-screen cousin Bhoomi (played by Reshmi Ghosh). When she was enquired about the reason in a recent interview she sweetly remarked, "I can`t reveal the cause but there is a definite reason to it". Later however she was seen tying the knot with Bhoomi`s lover Abeer (played by Vikas Sethi). She is also a very good friend of Billy, the son of the villain of the show Mr.Thakral (played by Ram Kapoor) who is very much in love with her. In an attempt to get back her husband from the clutches of Bhoomi she teams up with Joydeep (played by Manav Vij) who gets married with her husband`s love interest. She also happens to be the `laadli gudiya` on screen.
Gunjan Vijaya shifted to Mumbai one and a half years ago. She does not have many friends in Mumbai. She has found her friends in her co-actors Reshmi Ghosh (Bhoomi), Mouni Roy (Krishna Tulsi), Naman Shaw (Nakul), and Pulkit Samrat (Laksh). The only thing, which is common between them all, is that they all belong from Bengal. Gunjan Walia is also believed to star in the to-be launched Balaji show `Karbon Copy`. In this soap she will be seen in a negative role and will be sharing screen space with Smriti Irani, who played the role of Tulsi in the show earlier. She also states that the day she works with such a dignified and brilliant actor, as Smriti will be the most memorable day. Besides sharing a very good bonding with her young co-stars she also shares a very cordial relation with Shubhaavi who plays the menacing grandmother in `Kyunki`. She also holds high regards for this actor and also remarks that the former is the hottest grandmother on screen. With the aim of making it big in Bollywood she has already marked her entry into the film industry. She featured in the film Bollwyood comedy flick `Pyare Mohan` with great actors like Vivek Oberoi and Fardeen Khan. When asked her about the experience she claims, "It was like a dream". She also claimed that both the actors are very humble and they treated her with lot of respect. At present this actor is very happy with the way her career is shaping up. She hopes that her audiences will love her in the same way and that they would wish that she would go more miles in the times to come. Here is wishing Gunjan good luck for all her upcoming projects in the pipeline.
