Divya Seth, Indian TV Actress
Divya Seth was recently seen in the political soap `Sarkarr` which takes chapters out of the Indira Gandhi saga.

Divya SethDivya Seth is quite a popular name in the television industry. This great actress was born on 2nd April. It is about two decades ago that Divya Seth had carved a special corner in the hearts of the audiences by playing the role of Majli in the first Indian television soap `Hum Log`. Her appeal in that soap was such that she was swamped with offers and then year after year she ruled the hearts of the small screen viewers with powerhouse performances in serials like `Daraar`, `Adhikaar` and `Abhimaan`. It was then in the year 1999 that she appeared in `Sparsh`. Soon she diappeared altogether from the arc lights to take a break so that she can give time wholeheartedly to her marriage followed by motherhood. After a long hiatus she has again agreed to don the grease paint for an absolutely new venture titled `Sarkarr`. She claims, "I am as excited as any newcomer". In this soap Divya Seth plays the head of a political family after the assassination of her husband. This very serial not only brings back the `Kittie Party` team of Shobha De but also stars Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy who plays the role of two real brothers.

The only focus of the soap is however Divya Seth herself. It is a soap based on the family drama with politics as the backdrop. The soap is believed to take out chapters of the Indira Gandhi saga. She still holds her ravishing beauty intact even after all the years. After she accepted this challenging offer and agreed to sign on the dotted line producers could not help but stop ringing and beseeching her to agree to their offers. When asked her about the recent happenings she said that she couldn`t say much about her demand on television compared to the demand of her real life mother-in-law Sushma Seth (last seen in the Bollywood blockbuster `Kal Ho Na Ho`) in films.

On the personal front also Divya Seth is very much passionate about acting. She prefers giving her best in one show rather than diverting her attention to more than one shows. Some interesting things about her are given to get more close to the actor in her personal life. The things that turn her off are dirt, dishonesty and deceit. Her idea of romance is home, music, wine, good food and a super movie with her beloved husband. She claims that she can die for her baby Mihika. Her favorite actors are Richard Dreyfuss, Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachhan and Jack Nicholson. Her favorite playback singers are Pandit D.V. Paluskar, M.S. Subbulaxmi and Phil Collins. The clothes that she always prefers to wear are jeans, skirts and traditional attire on dressy occasions. Sundays for her are chilling out, pancakes and playing golf for her husband. She always likes to cook pasta and vegetable stew. She is a cleanliness fanatic. The crucial accessories that she always likes to adorn are jewelry, good shoes and loads of attitude. Money according to her is just paper. Her fans wishes her loads of success for the her upcoming projects and also wishes that she continues to rule their hearts as she has always done.
