
Anil Kumar was born on 20th June 1975. He is an Indian Discus thrower. His personal best throw was achieved on July 2007 in Szombathely which is 64.37 metres.
Anil Kumar has participated at the Asian games of the year 1998 held at Bangkok, Thailand and he finished at the 2nd place. At the Asian Championship held in the year 2000 at the Djakrta, Indonesia, he has also participated and finished at the 1st position. In the year 2002, the Asian games held at Busan, South Korea, Anil Kumar has also taken part and came 3rd. At the Asian championships held at Manila, Philippines in the year 2003 he has participated and finished at 3rd position. He has also participated at the 2005 Asian Championships held in Incheon, South Korea and came at the 3rd position. In the same year he took part in the Afro-Asian Games in Hydrabad, India where he received the first prize.
In the year 2007 Anil Kumar was at fault for consuming norandrosterone doping and was suspended by IAAF from September 2005 to September 2007. He was also disqualified from the competition where he originally had won a bronze medal.
