| |
|
The small screen actor Ajay Krishnamoorthi aka Sid in the very popular soap Mamta was born on 31st July. He is a South Indian by birth and is born into a Tamil family of Iyers. He moved to New York about 10 years ago to complete his education over there. He has also worked as the marketing director of the Wall Street Market. He has graduated from an acting school over there and has done four short films in United States of America. He is well trained in classical vocal songs and has also sung two songs titled `Aapke Aankhon Mein Kuch Mehke Huye Se Khwab Hai` and also another hit number `Bade Achhey Lagtey Hain`.
Ajay Krishnamoorthi made his debut in Indian television by the very popular Zee show `Mamta` in which he essays the character of Sid, the best friend of the male protagonist Akshay and the second spouse of the female protagonist Mamta. Initially he had a one-year contract with the production house, which was revised later. In this soap he played the character of Sid who was the best friend of the male lead Akshay (played by Ananad Suryavanshi). Later on he went on to become the second husband of the female protagonist Mamta. Following his mother`s wish he got married to Mamta and meted out all the responsibilities that was shouldered on him. He not only proved his mettle as a brilliant actor in this serial but also remained committed throughout. He also declined the plum role of Shabd offered to him in the much popular soap `Maayka`. He opted out of the show because it was the same channel on which both of his shows were supposed to be telecasted and that the commitment to the different production houses would have suffered in the due course of time.
In the show `Mamta` Ajay Krishnammorthi shared a great rapport with all his co-stars. After Neha Mehta left the show he was quite disappointed as they shared a great chemistry. He also misses the kid Krish (played by Master Krish). He also claimed in a recent interview that the show had its share of flaws and that all the characters were butchered at one point of time or the other. His character also went through a roller coaster ride and included both positive and negative shades. But his character always remained a loner at the end. Post leap also he managed to give his older character the best of his performance. His best scene in this soap was when he hands over Mamta`s hand to Akshay and the temple scene with Mamta during the trip of Mamta and Sid to Pune. In future he also dreams of making it big in the Bollywood film industry. His fans wish great success to this suave actor for his upcoming projects.
