| Prem Maya Sonir is indeed a name in the women field hockey. In the year 1982 she was the member of the women hockey team. That year India even won the Gold Medal. Currently she is serving as coach of the Indian railway women hockey team. Under her able guidance the team has won the hockey championship quite a number of time. Indian Government honored her with the prestigious Arjuna Award back in the year 1985. This eminent player is now married to the basketball player Bachchan Prasad and is at present justifying the post of the Assistant Sports Officer of the North Eastern railway.
