Indian Television Actors occupy an important position in the field of Indian television. Their charismatic appearance has spell bound the Indian TV watchers.

The targeted audiences are varies from different channel to different one. They maintain different time slots for their variegated range of targets. Now a days private entertainment channels are the most desired channels in each and every households in India. Indian television actors do their work in different languages depending upon the region. This makes it easy to relate with the audience o. In India the TV programmes are telecasted in several languages such as Hindi language, Bengali language, Tamil language, Kannada language, Punjabi language etc.

Hindi TV Actors
Hindi TV actors are most prominent among Indian TV actors. They include actors of the national level. Though most of the serials of India are female centric then also with their unique charismatic screen presence they enhance the flavour of the sagas with their continuous cooperation to their colleagues. Some important Hindi TV actors are Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor, Hiten Tejwani, Shivaji Satam, Karan Singh Grover, Rajiv Khandelwal, Mahesh Thakur etc.

Bengali TV actors
In Bengali TV serials also there are dedicated actors. Actors like kunal Mitra, Saheb, Jishu Sengupta enriched the Bengali daily soaps and made them closer to the heart of each Bengali. Kunal Mitra, died recently, delivered notable contribution in the serial `Tithir Atithi`. Jishu sengupta executed the character of Indian Saint Chaitanya Mahaprobhu very well.

Tamil TV actors
Tamil TV actors also help to enrich the Indian TV serials. Actors like Venu Arvind, Chetan, and Delhi Kumar ate to be named at first. Venu Arvind made his prominent appearance in the serial named `Alaigal` in the role of a leading antagonist `Ranga`. Chatan was the part of the television series `Marmadesam`. He also acted in serials like `Vasantha Bhavan` and `Metti Oli`. Delhi Kumar is well known as a supporting actor in the serials like `Metti Oli` and Engey Brahmanan`.

Actors in other languages have also made a comfortable niche by their histrionic skill. Marathi, Oriya, Kannada, Gujarati, Telugu TV actors too are famous in the respective states. A lot of the Indian TV actors have also ventured into films and have been successful. Besides, some actors are seen in television serials of different languages. Actors, like, Vikram Gokhale and Mohan Joshi have appeared in both Hindi and Marathi serials. Similarly, Shiv Subramanium, currently portraying a central character in Colors` Mukti Bandhan, is a Tamil actor.
