 Jalapa Mai Sangirathi TempleGhumarwin is a beautiful town and a taluka headquarters in Bilaspur district of the northern state of India, Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on the Shimla- Dharamshala National Highway. Hari surrounds Ghumarwin in the north (13 km.) Dahar in the east (10 km.) and Bilaspur in the south (13 km.) The nearest railway station is the Kiratpur Sahib Railway Station and the nearest airport is at Shimla.

Vyas Cave, Jalapa Mai Sangirathi Temple, Sagirthin and Govind Sagar Sanctuary are exciting tourist options in the vicinity.

According to the 2001 India census report, Ghumarwin had a small population of 5720 inhabitants. Males constitute 53% of the population and females constitute 47% of the population. The town has an average literacy rate of 78% that is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 80% and the female literacy rate is 76%.
