Gangapur is situated in the Aurangabad district of the western state of India, Maharastra. It is located between 18.33° North latitude and 76.52° East longitude at a height of 572 metres (1876 feet) above mean sea level. Acording to the 2001 census report, Gangapur had a population of 22,053 inhabitants. Males constitute 52% of the population and females constitute 48% of the population.
