The pleasing harmony of Daman-Kurti-Chunder , makes for the traditional female attire in Haryana.

Daman Kurti  ChunderHaryana, the land of resplendent colors and brewing energy, reflects the spirit in the making and choice of their costumes too. An obvious example is the traditional costume of women in Haryana, called Daman Kurti Chunder. Chunder is a long piece of cloth, available in a wide spectrum of colours . These wonderfully coloured Chunder, is tatted with shimmering laces. This Chunder is draped around the head and the front part of the body. Its purpose is thus the same of the Duppatta of salwar-kameez and the Aanchal of the sari.

A Kurti is a shirt-like blouse, worn as a top-garment. It is usually white in color. Ultimately, the Daman is the ankle-long skirt, flowing with a flare at the bottom. The Daman normally comes in brilliant bright hues.

To be very precise, the Daman-Kurti-Chunder, not only maintains the decency with splendid sobriety, but beautifies the Haryana girls, with the richness of their outlook, too.
