Prostate Disorder

Prostate, in one form or the other, is found in nearly one-third of all men over 50 years of age. This gland is vital in relation to the emptying of the bladder and bears a close relationship with the rectum. The gland plays a decisive role in normal sexual life and its function is to secrete a fluid, which is added to semen during sexual intercourse. However, the prostate and bladder disorders can lead to numerous other ailments such as arthritis, kidney disorders and failure and uremia. As such, the basic most deadly types of prostate disorders need very much to be taken into account for betterment purposes.

The prostate can be defined as a muscular gland, shaped in the size of a walnut, circumventing part of the urethra, the tube that carries urine and sperm out from the body. An integral constituent of the male reproductive system, the prostate gland secretes seminal fluid, a milky substance that when mixes with sperm produced in the testicles, lead up to the formation of semen. The prostate is located directly underneath the bladder and in front of the rectum. Due to the upper portion of the urethra passing through the prostate, if the gland becomes magnified to an abnormal degree, it can obstruct the passage of necessary fluid through the urethra. Thus, a conclusion can be drawn that prostate disorders and malfunctioning of the gland can cause troubles not only in male reproduction, but also, more importantly, in the free flow of urine. The gland`s job is to produce some of the fluid that protects and nourishes sperm cells in semen. As such, disorders of the prostate gland, which though unnoticed in the young years of a man, can lead him to complicated ailments during his late years. Proper and appropriate medication and thorough treatment is very much a pre-requisite.

Disorders and problems with the prostate gland are mostly connected with aging - the older one grows gradually, the more likely does there exist chances of experiencing prostate disorders and symptoms. Young men are rarely ever heard to have been affected by such troubles and ailments. After the age of fifty, however, disorders of the gland are among the most widespread of men`s health complaints. Eighty percent of all prostate cancer diagnoses, for example, are made after age sixty-five and by the time of seventy, ninety percent of all men exhibit at least some or the other symptoms of an enlarged prostate. An enormous percentage of men over fifty years of age suffer from prostate troubles of one form or other. The prostrate gland is an exclusive male secretory organ. There exists several kinds of prostrate disorders, the most important being hypertrophy or enlargement of the prostrate gland and prostatitis or inflammation in the prostate gland. Prostrate gland, found only in men thus makes the disorder to be delimited to the male world only. Shaped in the form of a large chestnut, prostrate gland generally swells up in the disorder, stimulating unbearable pain.

The first symptoms in prostate disorders can basically be governed after the causes have been properly underlined and comprehended. Prostate disorder is one such disease affecting the male world, which mainly is caused by gross negligence and disregard of one`s health and necessary well-being. Lengthened periods of sitting in specific occupations also increase the pressure on the pelvic region, resulting in congestion of the tissues in and around the prostate gland. With the passage of time, changes such as inflammation or enlargement occur in the gland. Severe and fatal prostatitis may also result from prolonged exposure to cold and chill and from infectious diseases. Another substantial cause for prostate disorders is acute sufferance from constipation. Chronic prostatis is only an after-effect of the acute stage of deadly prostate disorder. Excessive sexual excitement and exhilaration and constipation also poses chance to cause continual irritation of the gland due to unwarranted sexual enthusiasm. One more crucial cause leading to emergency prostate disorder is constipation, when the faeces turn tough and hardened and the rectum or lower bowel is overloaded, inducing inordinate pressure on the prostate gland.

In order to maintain a healthy, balanced and well-mannered lifestyle, free from any kind of bodily ailments, as in prostate disorders, a man must keep in mind to maintain an accurate and routine diet chart, with prescribed assortment of food. Essential for beginner suffering from prostate disorder, the patient should give up on all kinds of solid food and literally survive on water, blended with a hint of lemon juice for two or three days. The water can of course be taken cold or hot and it should be taken every hour or so during the hours when he is wide awake. This will help in greatly to increase the flow of urine. After observing the short fast, the patient can bring himself to an all-fruit diet, consisting of juicy fruits, for the next three days. This should be pursued by a diet consisting of two meals of fruits and one of cooked vegetables for seven days. Subsequently, the patient may take up and implement a well-balanced diet, with near vehemence on seeds, nuts, grains, vegetable and fruits. Heavy starches, sweet stimulants and highly flavoured items are absolutely forbidden, as they are widely known to grossly stimulate direct annoyance to the prostate gland and bladder. The world of ayurveda virtually provides a cure, though slow, for every existing disease and that too quite effective and innovative in its approach. Hence, the ayurvedic supplements for men suffering from prostate disorders would include - Prostaid, Shilajeet tablets, Chandraprabha Bati and Gokshuradi Guggulu. Practicing yoga on an everyday basis, like Vajrasana, forward-bend (Paschimothana Asana) are also known and testified to come to reasonable assistance in times of prostate illness.

Diseases and disorders of the prostate gland are manifold, some proving to be immensely jeopardising life in totality, some lucky enough to cease after a specific limit. The benign diseases have been testified to be non-cancerous in nature, after sufficient doctoral studies. They can be uncomfortable and inopportune, but are not life-threatening and often can be treated triumphantly with drugs or surgery. The two principal benign diseases of the prostate are prostatitis and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). The main malignant (cancerous) disease of the prostate is adenocarcinoma of the prostate or prostate cancer. The disorder in the prostate gland can be checked and arrested prior to further complications by detailed physical examination and blood tests. Any abnormality can be additionally investigated by more sophisticated testing. Post treatment and post consultation are also readily available in various instances of treatment of prostate disorder in the hospitals and medical units.
